Palma's Grand Opening - July 3, 2008

On Thursday July 3rd, Palma (200 E Redwood Street) opened with style.  This new super-club aims to bring us the best elements from New York and Miami clubs.  Palma is destined bring a fresh scene to Baltimore's nightlife atmosphere.  The massive dance floor is matched only by the enormous speakers and subwoofers that blast state-of-the-art sound to all who come in.  To the left side of the dance floor is the signature Palma room, where you can sit down in comfortable leather chairs and relax to the sound of the Palma logo waterfall.  If you are looking for more of a relaxed atmosphere, you can venture into the basement where a whole different scene evolves.  Down in the basement, there is a DJ with a live percussionist, plenty of places to sit and order bottle service, as well as a VIP lounge for private parties, and of course a fully stocked bar.  If you want to get a bird’s eye view of the entire dance floor, you can go up to the top floor and look over the railing at the entire dance space.  On the top floor there are VIP booths accompanied by cocktail waitresses that will keep the bottles at your booth full all night, a fully stocked bar, go-go dancers, and above the DJ booth is the owner’s VIP area.
Once the doors opened, the dance floor began to fill quickly with excited dancers thrilled by the sound system.  As everyone began to explore the club, special guest Tila Tequila made an appearance in the owner’s booth and the crowd went crazy.  It was impossible not to have fun, so come and check out the new experience for yourself.  Palma is open Thursday through Sunday nights, but remember dress to impress.  You can check out their website at PalmaBaltimore.com for more information.
