Small Sur @ Golden West Cafe (2/15/08)

    With light touches of saxophone and banjo Small Sur captivated the packed Golden West Cafe. The five piece usually plays a quieter set but chose a slightly louder set to compensate the crowded venue. The louder sound proved to be just fine. The third and fourth songs performed seemed to be build ups to an eruption that was never heard to fruition. Lead singer Bob Keal was a quiet force to be reckoned with as they gave each song it's due. By far this is one of the best live Baltimore bands right now.
