Lookout Point @ The Recher Theater, 10/18/07

From the depths of Pennsylvania to the streets of Towson, Maryland, Lookout Point opened the Recher Theater on the night of October 18th. They preformed songs from their premier album, ?What Could Have Been?; which included such songs as ?The Price? and ?Wax Museum.? As the band took the stage, they captured the attention of everyone in the room with their harmonious melodies and amusing antics.

Andy Goforth, Lookout Point?s lead singer and guitarist, put an immense amount of emotion into his lyrics and vocals. It almost made you feel like you are one with the song and the story behind it. His shredding on the guitar is phenomenal, he obviously puts a lot of time and effort into making the bands music come alive.

Pete Baker, the bands bassist, gave an incredible performance. You can always tell that music is his life and passion. His on stage performance proves that to be true, music is his drug; it seems to be what keeps him going.

Dustin Ward, the band?s drummer could no doubt, be the next Lars Ulrich (Metallica). Ward showed his enthusiasm for playing music on and off stage. He connected with fans in the crowd and also shared his passion for music. This is something which every musician should have; they should connect with their fans on a level in which they are the same. According to Lookout Point, ?We?re real people that have the same problems that everyone else has. We just have microphones??

Lookout Point is not a band that is out there to necessarily get famous; they play for the sake of just playing music in general. They enjoy what they do and love every aspect of playing on stage. Someday fame and a record deal may come along, but for now, it?s not something that they are striving for.

The band is currently working on putting together an EP. This will include a couple new songs of theirs along with a couple from their album, ?What Could Have Been.? Details about this EP are still under wraps and the release date is not yet chosen. But in the mean time, Lookout Point will always do what they know best.
