
Fairfax, VA-based alt-rockers, Sematic, headline The State Theatre in Falls Church, VA with a bill including Anamide, Envy Insane and Burn the Ballroom.
Founded in 2004, Sematic has since cultivated a grassroots following in the DC area, grown a concrete fan base and built themselves up as a group of musicians working to maintain a strong connection with each person in the audience, both on and off stage. Not usually my type of act however, their love of creation and performance is fairly evident, and I'm a constant supporter of that type of ethic.

Featuring 8 up-and-coming bands from the Washington, DC area, DC DOES TX will take place at Austin's Cream Vintage (Guadalupe Location) on March 13, 2008 from 12pm-7pm.
The DC DOES TX site will not only be featuring the bands but also a raffle for free electronic gadgets for your listening and viewing. DC DOES TX will be rocking through the following lineup:
Each featured band has an inimitable relationship with digital technology, as it’s become a vital tool in reaching new audiences and furthering their music careers.
