Some old buddies from around the way are on death metal steroids. I've seen this band go through several incarnations, and it's exciting for me to see The Barn at the strongest they've ever been. This goes back so far, I went to elementary school with some of these guys, jammed with them for a stint, committed a number of misdemeanors, partied, and everything else a teenager is supposed to do with close friends. I haven't seen the drummer, Jake, and the bass player, CJ, since my wedding, and it's going to be a privilege to check them out at The Brass Monkey on February 23 and The Black Hole on the 26th.
