Friday at Fletcher's with Humanzee

It is the first weekend of Autumn, and the threat of a chill in the air means that we have some serious raging to do. This Friday, the 26th, come down to Fletchers at 701 S. Bond St. to check out local boys Humanzee as they rock the stage. Lead man Steven Heisler’s vocals might be the product of a Scott Stapp-Layne Staley lovechild, but the late ‘90’s rock-and-roll throwback instrumentals are less post-grunge and more STP meets God Forbid. In laymen’s terms, these guys will take you back to the days of Kik-wear jeans and Airwalk shoes, before the term “Emo” was tossed around like drinks at an open bar. Speaking of drinks, the show is only $10, leaving you plenty of cash to drop on PBR’s while channeling your angry youth. The show starts at 7pm, and a few more local rockers, in the form of Echoes of Us, The Speaks, Spark The Inferno, and Count Me In, will be joining Humanzee on the stage. Remember that, though these boys will be heating up the club, you may want to bring a jacket for the gusty walk home.
