While they're not gracing the East Coast with their presence this go-round, Melbourne's Skybombers are rocking hard up and down the West Coast for a month starting in mid-March (with punk legends X, no less). We've got our hopes up that they'll pay us a visit here in Baltimore sometime in the near future. Seems like kind of a no-brainer, cities like Baltimore and Detroit love that nasty sound.

The recent high-school grads are true torch-bearers for the garage rock sound, and just spent five weeks recording in LA with producer Rick Parker (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) for a summer 2008 release.

Somebody tell The Hives they'll need to step their game up.
