The Terrordactyls: Terrifyingly Huggable

The Terrordactyls

I noticed the Terrordactyls because the group's bio states that member Michael Cadiz is from Baltimore. At first, I was smirking because it's finally hip to be from Baltimore. So hip, in fact, that it should be in your bio. Owned, New York! Baltimore is cooler. Oh, wait, no one involved in the project lives in Baltimore, the two are split between Brooklyn and Washington State.

The next thing I noticed was that Kimya Dawson of Moldy Peaches and solo fame delivered guest vocals on the Terrordactyls' self-titled debut. So I listened to "Devices", and I was sold. The quirky use of toy instruments, kazoos, and freakin' Kimya Dawson is crazy cool, and it all makes sense. It's superficial, fun, light-hearted music, and worth checking out.
