An off-topic, out of character breath of positivity about baseball.
All I can say today, as I dig out of a massive home improvement project that sidelined me for the better part of two weeks, is "Let's go, O's!" This post arrives at the bottom of the eighth, with the Orioles down by four, but I don't care! I love baseball, and as the luck of geography would have it, my hometown team is slightly better than the Kansas City Royals. But I always go for the Cinderella story, the underdog, the unlikely up-and-comer.
I'm looking forward to baseball this year, even without Tejada. We've still got Brian Roberts, we've got Nick Markakis (unless there's another trade), and who knows, we can beat .500 if we work hard. I'll probably be randomly spouting off about how good or bad the team is doing as the season develops, so you'll just have to bear with me. See you at the Yard!
